Hey Hey My My, a name borrowed from Neil Young's famous hit, was born in the early 2000s from the meeting of two Juliens, Gaulier and Garnier. The band quickly embodied the emergence of a "French" folk alongside groups like Cocoon. Hey Hey My My swiftly merges elements of folk, rock, blues, and country, all sprinkled with a psychedelic touch, to become a flagship of French indie (even though they sing in English). Influenced by the Pixies or Nirvana, HHMM prioritizes melodies and pop riffs to take the listener on a captivating journey where tales of lost loves and the poems of Canadian Zach Gavillier unfold.
